A few weeks ago, my wife Katie, my intern Anna, and I went with Katie’s family to Myrtle Beach for a short weekend vacation to see Katie’s sister in her last play as a college senior. We were only there for about 48 hours, but it was well spent. Rain consumed the forecast for the majority of our trip, but fortunately it reduced to a massive fog for the middle of our Saturday. This fog was a beautifully hazy departure from typical beach weather, and we soaked it in. I’ve been itching lately for chances to travel and shoot, and while Myrtle Beach isn’t exactly a massive excursion, it was still a great opportunity to shoot elsewhere. The effect of this short little trip, however, is that now the travel bug is worse. I view this as a good thing.
